Letters To The Editor
Remembrance day etiquette
Letter to the Editor,
This morning my husband and I were watching the ceremony
taking place in Ottawa for Remembrance day.
The Governor General was greeting the young people now serving in the forces.
He was greeting the men with "How are you, what
is your name".
When he came to a female he said " How are
you dear"
We not only found this to be condescending and
disrespectful but just plane WRONG.
Marian Humenny,
